Game Dev. Studio Impressions

Thus far studio has been quite entertaining (who would have expected 4 hours to fly past so fast? surely not for any other subject). Tutors are great; Derrick just how i remember him, and I have an outright affinity with Matt given his allegiance with Nintendo.

I was shockingly surprised however, in the first week when we gathered round the table to discuss game ideas. Given that it's a 3rd unit of a 3 year course, the most truly engaging unit of the whole course that all students of game dev. should be eagerly anticipating, I was dumbstruck to see that I was the only one who had formulated some solid game concept that I wanted to put into action and was excited to hear peoples opinions on. Having all this time working up to studio I expected a few more cherished ideas to be flying around... the discussions however were still quite enjoyable and it's interesting to learn everyone's gaming background.
